What are you wearing?
Colossians 3:12-14
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
It was announced this week that there will be a major exhibition at Buckingham Palace next year of about 200 items of clothing (including jewelry, hats and shoes), belonging to the late Queen Elizabeth II. The exhibition, which will coincide with the centenary of her birth, will feature items from her childhood and throughout her long reign. Perhaps the greatest clothing that she wore, or any believer in the Lord Jesus Christ could wear, was that of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, just as the apostle Paul encouraged his readers. We should wear these qualities daily.
