Foreigners or Members?

Ephesians 2:12-13, 19

“… remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. … Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household…”

“We don’t want ’em”, said Donald Trump, this week. He was referring to wanting to ban foreigners from certain countries to the USA, just like he did in 2017 against some Muslim countries.

How wonderful it is that we have a God who doesn’t see us as foreigners but as members of His household because of what Jesus did in going to the cross to die for our sins. There’s free access into heaven if we trust in the Lord Jesus as our personal Saviour. There’s no entry if we reject His Son.
