Sunday Thought – 16.02.25

Valentine’s Day was celebrated a few days ago. Some of us may have sent and/or received a card or gift to demonstrate a feeling of affection, love and commitment. This human gesture pales into total insignificance when we compare the love of the Lord Jesus.

J. E. Hall wrote a well-known hymn in 1851:

“The love that Jesus had for me, to suffer on the cruel tree, that I a ransomed soul might be, is more than tongue can tell.”

1 John 4 v 9 reads:

“This is how God showed His love among us. He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him”.
